Specialist Coloproctology  Surgery

Prof. Luigi Basso is a Colorectal Surgeon based in Rome, specialised in the treatment of pilonidal disease, haemorrhoids, anal fissures and anal fistulae. Over the years, Prof. Basso has dedicated to coloproctology, and, in particular, he has embraced the study, diagnosis and treatment of pilonidal disease (or pilonidal cyst or pilonidal sinus). Particular attention has been given by Prof. Basso to the minimally invasive approach, of which he has become a nationally and internationally recognised expert and landmark, for both patients and colleagues.
